There are many causes of anaemia combined with thrombocytopenia, the most common being megaloblastic anaemia due to folic acid and vitamin B12 deficiency, Evans syndrome, aplastic anaemia and DIC. A specific identification is needed in conjunction with medical history, clinical symptoms and other laboratory tests.
