The symptoms of liver cancer are not particularly obvious in the early stages, but as the disease progresses, the patient’s tumor will increase in size. Some liver cancers can irritate the right side of the patient’s diaphragm after enlargement, affecting the septal nerve and causing vagus nerve pull-like pain in the body. The patient’s pain will radiate to the right shoulder and back, and the patient will show pain in the shoulder area. The patient’s cancer cells metastasize to the shoulder joint and the patient has shoulder pain as a result.
Lung cancer can also cause pain in the shoulder area after the disease. In the early stages of lung cancer, the main symptoms are coughing, coughing up phlegm and coughing up blood, but in the late stages, the cancer cells will metastasize to the bone and therefore also show pain in the shoulder area. As the top of the lung organ happens to be the exit of the human abdominal cavity, and there are many nerves at the exit of the human thoracic cavity, lung cancer will cause compression and stimulation of the nerves when the tumor increases in size, so many patients will also show shoulder pain.
