What’s wrong with a few hard bumps on my body?

There are two common causes for several hard bumps on the top of the body: first, there may be superficial swellings of the subcutaneous soft tissue, commonly cysts, sebaceous cysts or lipomas, fibroids, etc. For a definitive diagnosis, a local ultrasound is usually necessary, which basically confirms the diagnosis. Among them, sebaceous cysts are more likely to become infected, and taking fried and greasy food that is easily inflamed may cause local redness, swelling and pain, and in serious cases, local abscess formation, or even abscess rupture and pus flow. However, if there is no infection, the above-mentioned superficial swellings are benign swellings and generally do not produce malignant changes. If they do not cause pain and do not grow particularly fast, they generally do not need special treatment. Second, there may be enlargement of lymph nodes. Lymph nodes are usually located in the facial isthmus, neck, armpits, abdomen and bilateral groin. If there are hard lumps in these places and pain when pressed, it may be localized lymph node inflammation, which can be confirmed by ultrasound.
