Vitamin E cannot soften blood vessels. Current studies have found that vitamin E can protect the vascular endothelium to a certain extent, as well as antioxidant and reduce inflammation, but there is no clear evidence that it has a softening effect on blood vessels that have already undergone atherosclerosis. For blood vessels that have developed atherosclerosis, the most important thing is to avoid the triggers that cause atherosclerosis, such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, hyperglycemia, as well as obesity and smoking, and to try to have a healthy diet in life. It is recommended to refer to the Mediterranean diet as well as physical exercise, which can slow down the hardening of blood vessels significantly. Although vitamin E has a certain role in protecting the endothelium of blood vessels, it cannot be used as the main treatment for atherosclerosis because of its weak effect.
