Why newborns tend to overflow

Most of the newborn’s milk overflow belongs to the functional reason, firstly, it is related to the anatomy of the child’s digestive system, because the child’s stomach is in horizontal transverse position after birth, the stomach capacity is small, the cardia opening is loose, and the pyloric sphincter is tense. In addition, the secretion of enzymes in the digestive system is relatively low and the activity of enzymes is insufficient, all of which contribute to the child’s milk overflow. If the child is overflowing, parents are advised to change the feeding style, to eat smaller meals, to let the child stand for a while after eating, and to burp, all of which can reduce the overflow of milk. If the milk overflow is severe, or even obvious vomiting occurs, we should be alert to the presence of gastric torsion, congenital pyloric hypertrophy and other diseases. If necessary, take your child to the hospital for a gastrointestinal imaging test, and then treat the cause of the problem.
