Thyroid nodules can be categorized as gall disease in Chinese medicine, and Chinese medicine treatment for this disease requires evidence-based treatment, such as qi depression and phlegm obstruction treatment with Sihai Shuyu Pill, and phlegm and blood stasis internal obstruction treatment with Seaweed Yuhu Tang. 1. Qi depression and phlegm obstruction syndrome: manifested as swelling in front of the neck, accompanied by emotional depression, good taiyi, discomfort in the chest and ribs (chest and ribs), light red tongue, thin white moss, stringy pulse, treated with Four Seas Shuyu Pill, which consists of kelp, kombu, seaweeds, cuttlebone, sea clamshells, mukouli, and chenpi. 2. Liver fire exuberance evidence: manifested as swelling in front of neck, accompanied by impatience and irritability, red face and eyes, red tongue, yellow moss, stringy pulse, using Gardenia Liver Clearing Soup combined with eliminating scrofula pills, composed of oyster, zhebeimu, xuan shen, chai hu, gardenia, mudanpi, angelica sinensis, white peony, burdock seed and so on. 4. Yin deficiency of heart and liver: manifested as swelling in front of the neck, accompanied by five heart-heat (heat in the heart of the hands and feet, and self-consciousness of the heart and chest), panic and insomnia, red tongue, little moss, and fine pulse (the pulse becomes narrower and finer, and the rate is accelerated), with Tianwang Xinxindan combining with Consistency Decoction, which consists of Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Radix Panax Quinquefolii, Xuansen Sennae, Maitake Mai Dung, Tiantong, Radix Panax Quinquefolii, Poria, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Lycii Fructus, and Dangshen.
