The difference between presbyopia and myopia

Presbyopia and myopia are two different refractive states. Presbyopia is due to a degenerative disease that occurs after ageing, mainly due to the loss of elasticity caused by the hardening of the lens, so there will be a decrease in the adjustment ability of the eyes, which will be manifested as a decrease in near vision, and it is more difficult to read at a close distance, and you like to put the target of reading farther away to be able to see more clearly; whereas, nearsightedness is due to the increase in the refractive force of the eyes, for example, the lens has a strong adjusting ability, or due to the Myopia is due to the increased refractive power of the eye, such as the lens’ ability to adjust more, or due to the lengthening of the eye’s axis causing the eye to see distant objects more blurred, so these two conditions are completely different states. After the appearance of these two diseases, it is recommended that you need to go to the hospital as soon as possible to improve the optometry examination, and wear glasses as soon as possible. Myopia requires myopic glasses and presbyopia requires presbyopia glasses. These two types of glasses are also different. Nearsightedness glasses are mainly used for distance vision, while presbyopia glasses are mainly used for near vision.
