A well-defined lymph node is generally a normal physiologic condition, but certain pathologic factors such as tuberculosis of the lymph nodes, connective tissue disease, etc., may also present with well-defined lymph nodes. Well-defined lymph nodes indicate that the lymph nodes are isolated, not fused, and are normal lymphatic tissue. However, lymph node tuberculosis, caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection of the lymph nodes, may also present with well-defined lymph nodes when there are masses in the neck, armpits, groin and other areas that merge into a mass. In addition, connective tissue diseases may also present with enlarged lymph nodes and clear lymph node borders. In the case of lymph node enlargement due to metastasis of malignant tumors, ultrasound and other imaging examinations often show that the edges are not clear enough to be of diagnostic significance. Lymph node border clear if there are other uncomfortable symptoms, also need to consult a doctor in time.
