Montelukast Sodium works to improve inflammatory markers of asthma and is used to prevent and treat asthma in children and adults, as well as in the treatment of allergic rhinitis. In addition, different dosage forms are adapted to the prevention and treatment of asthma and reduction of symptoms of allergic rhinitis in patients of different ages. 1.Montelukast Sodium Tablets are indicated for the prevention and long-term treatment of asthma in adults aged 15 years and above; to alleviate the symptoms caused by seasonal allergic rhinitis and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults aged 15 years and above. 2.Montelukast Sodium Granules is indicated for the prevention and long-term treatment of asthma in children over 1 year of age; to alleviate the symptoms caused by seasonal allergic rhinitis and perennial allergic rhinitis in children between 2 and 5 years of age. 3. Montelukast Sodium Chewable Tablets are indicated for the prevention and long-term treatment of asthma in children 2 to 14 years of age; to relieve symptoms caused by seasonal allergic rhinitis and perennial allergic rhinitis in children 2 to 14 years of age. Possible adverse reactions to montelukast sodium include dizziness, drowsiness, palpitations, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Contraindications are contraindicated in those who are allergic to it.
