How do you recognize Paget’s disease?

Paget’s disease is the name of the tumor called eczema-like carcinoma, which occurs in the breasts, armpits, scrotum, and anal opening area. Growing outside the breast is also called extramammary eczema-like carcinoma, the appearance is a red spot, vesicles, scabs, oozing, often for many years, all kinds of conventional treatment for eczema has no effect, the scope is still gradually expanding. The lesions will have a harder texture, and this is the time to consider the possibility of Paget’s disease. It is usually unilateral, unlike eczema which tends to be symmetrical on both sides. Whenever these signs are present, Paget’s disease should be suspected and the diagnosis should be confirmed in the hospital. The easiest or most accurate way to confirm the diagnosis is to cut a small portion of the lesion for pathologic examination, and observe under the microscope whether there are abnormal Paget’s cells, also known as eczema-like carcinoma. Therefore, the diagnosis can be confirmed by pathologic examination, and there are long-term unilateral underarm, breast, perianal, and scrotal eczema, which need to be consulted promptly.
