What is the normal range for anti-PM-Scl antibodies?

The normal range for anti-PM-Scl antibodies should be negative.
Anti-PM-Scl antibodies, first identified in patients with both systemic sclerosis (Scl) and dermatomyositis (PM), are myositis-associated autoantibodies that are normally negative. PM-Scl recognizes anti-PM-ScL100 and anti-PM-Scl75, and is now often used as a screening test for autoimmune diseases.
Positive anti-PM-Scl antibody can be seen in patients with multiple myositis overlapping with sclerosis, as well as in patients with diffuse sclerosis and multiple myositis. Patients with positive anti-PM-Scl antibody should be further tested with other autoantibodies, liver and renal functions, and other ancillary tests in order to make a definitive diagnosis.
It is recommended that patients with positive anti-PM-Scl antibody should go to the rheumatology and immunology department of regular hospitals for further consultation and treatment according to the doctor’s instructions.
