Inflammation of the lymph usually does not heal on its own and requires treatment. It can usually be cured in 3 to 7 days or more.
Lymph inflammation is a relatively common clinical symptom, mostly caused by purulent infections, and is generally categorized into secondary lymphadenitis and primary lymphadenitis.
1. Secondary lymphadenitis: It is mostly caused by acute and chronic inflammation in the region, such as purulent tonsillitis, wisdom tooth pericoronitis, etc. Lymphatic inflammation caused by this reason is often seen in the lymph nodes. Most of the lymph node infections caused by this kind of disease will be cured after the primary disease is cured.
2. Primary lymphadenitis: acute inflammation of the lymph itself. In mild cases, it usually takes 3 to 5 days, and if the condition is serious and the redness and swelling are more obvious, it takes about 7 days. If the lymphatic inflammation is accompanied by abscesses, which need to be incised and drained, the recovery time is even longer.
Patients with lymphatic inflammation need to go to the hospital in a timely manner, follow the doctor’s instructions for medication, during the period of time to pay attention to rest, eat a light diet.
