Is it normal to have lymph nodes in the chin?

Lymph nodes at the chin are a normal physiological phenomenon. The human body has six regions of lymph nodes in the neck, including the jaw, and each region has different sizes and numbers of lymph nodes. Under normal circumstances it is difficult to feel lymph nodes on the body surface. For the lymph nodes felt by patients, most of them are due to chronic inflammation or acute inflammation with long-term repeated stimulation and compensatory hyperplasia of lymph nodes, which may be felt in the submandibular or chin area, but these lymph nodes have no obvious symptoms. If there is redness, swelling, heat and pain, the possibility of acute lymphadenitis is considered, and the enlarged lymph nodes may gradually return to normal by taking oral antibiotics and adopting a symptomatic and supportive treatment plan. In the case of lymph nodes in the chin, they can be probed by normal color ultrasound and can be identified as normal lymph nodes.
