Surgical gowns should be put on and taken off with hand washing and checking, and with the assistance of the visiting nurse. 1. Hand washing and checking: Before putting on the surgical gowns, you need to clean your hands. After washing your hands, you need to check the outer packaging and expiration date, and choose the right size for you. 2. Put on the surgical gown: (1) Pick up the surgical gown, choose a spacious and clean place, carry both sides of the collar with both hands and gently unfold the gown vertically, the height of the gown should be kept below the shoulder and above the ground. (2) Keeping the inside of the surgical gown facing the surgeon, throw the gown slightly upward while extending both arms smoothly into both sleeves, extending both hands and forearms into the cuffs at shoulder level to make the gown completely open, with the back to the traveling nurse, who pulls the gown over the shoulder, arranges the securing straps and puts on the surgical gloves. (3) The gowner crosses his/her hands and lifts the belt to the nurse, who takes the belt and ties it, and the gowning is completed. 3. Take off the surgical gown: first, unbuckle the belt, the nurse unbuckles the collar from the back, and folds the gown from the back to the front to take off the gown, and the gown is turned out as a whole.
