Treatment and prevention of stomach symptoms during drug administration

Affects normal secretion of gastric mucosal glands and stimulates secretion of gastric acid and pepsin. Some drugs reduce platelets, inhibit platelet aggregation, reduce prothrombin and cause upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Some drugs have stimulating and corrosive effects on the gastric mucosa, such as potassium chloride and iron salts. Some drugs affect the gastrointestinal motor function and the blood and lymphatic circulation of the gastric mucosa, and damage the normal function of the stomach and intestines. Treatment and prevention of stomach symptoms during medication: 1. Stop medication as soon as possible, pay attention to diet regulation and reduce irritating food. 2, symptomatic treatment, protection of gastric mucosa such as oral aluminum hydroxide gel, 10-15ml each time, 3-4 times a day, or take aluminum thioglycollate, H2-blockers and Loxacol. 3. Develop good eating habits: eat regularly, eat little and often, chew and swallow slowly. Avoid eating foods containing bones, spines and brittle, hard and rough foods that mechanically stimulate the gastric mucosa, drinks that promote gastric acid secretion such as wine, coffee, strong tea and carbonated drinks, foods that are too cold, too hot, too hard, too spicy and too sticky. Those with mild symptoms can mostly recover in the short term, and those with hyperacidity can be treated with acid suppressants, and those with bleeding can be treated the same as drug-induced acute gastritis. For alcoholics, advise them to reduce the amount of alcohol or quit drinking as much as possible, as long-term alcohol consumption can develop into chronic gastric disease.
