A vision of 0.2 is definitely serious, usually a person’s normal vision is around 1.0, and a vision of 0.2 means that you can only see line 2 on the vision chart, and you need to find out why. The most common reason is usually the loss of vision due to myopia. If you have myopia, myopia glasses can be used to correct myopia and improve your vision. However, in small children, a high degree of hyperopia or astigmatism may also cause vision loss, requiring a dilated optometry and glasses for hyperopia or astigmatism in order to improve vision. If glasses do not improve vision, there may be amblyopia or a fundus condition. First, a funduscopic examination is needed to determine whether there is a lesion, and second, certain amblyopia treatment and training are needed.
