Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome is a clinical condition in which an infertile woman uses ovulation promotion to mature and develop follicles for the purpose of achieving pregnancy. If multiple follicles grow, the amount of estradiol in the body will increase even more in a short period of time, causing water and sodium retention and ascites, as well as a series of symptoms such as low urine output, nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. This condition may endanger the patient’s life in serious cases, so once detected clinically, it should be treated accordingly.
