Koryo ginseng with maitake

Goryeo ginseng with maitake has the effect of tonifying both qi and yin. Korean ginseng is a red ginseng from the Korean Peninsula, which is the dried root and rhizome of the cultivated ginseng of the family Ginsengaceae after being steamed. It is sweet, slightly bitter and slightly warm in nature, and has the effects of tonifying the vital energy, restoring the pulse and fixing the loss of blood (restoring the normal pulse and preventing the disease of deficiency), and benefiting the qi and taking in the blood (preventing bleeding by way of tonifying the qi). Ophiopogon is the dried tuberous root of Ophiopogon, family Liliaceae, with a slightly fragrant odor, sweet and slightly bitter taste, and has the functions of nourishing yin and moistening the lungs, benefiting the stomach and generating fluids, and clearing the heart and removing vexation. Ginseng and maitake are both tonic products, ginseng tonifies the qi and maitake tonifies the yin, and the combination has the effect of tonifying the qi and nourishing the yin.
