A high HPV test means that there is an HPV infection and HPV is not parasitized in a woman’s vagina. If HPV is high, it is mostly transmitted through sexual contact, but it can also be transmitted through other contacts, and mother-to-child transmission cannot be ruled out.HPV, known as human papillomavirus, is a virus associated with cervical cancer. There are currently more than 160 subtypes of HPV, which can be categorized into high-risk infections and low-risk infections based on their cancer-causing potential. High-risk infections, of which there are 14, are probably associated with cervical cancer or precancerous lesions of cervical cancer. Low-risk infections mainly cause squamous intraepithelial lesions of the cervix, or warts of the vulvar reproductive system, and generally do not cause cancer. Therefore, for women with high HPV, further HPV typing is recommended. If it is a high-risk type of HPV infection, it must be taken very seriously because it is more closely related to cervical cancer.
