Ways to relieve fever in children

There are many ways to relieve fever in children, the more commonly used are medications. The drugs are divided into western medicine and Chinese medicine drugs, and some can be used to physically lower the temperature. The more traditional physical cooling method, mainly using warm water to rub the child’s whole body skin, has a better effect of reducing fever, and the irritation is also weaker. For older children, diluted white wine or alcohol can be used to rub the skin of the child’s whole body, but if the child is taking some cephalosporin or penicillin drugs, it is not recommended to use alcohol or white wine for rubbing. You can also apply fever patches to your child’s forehead, neck, back, hands and feet to reduce fever. The Chinese medicines to reduce fever include pediatric black beetle and fever granules, pediatric antelope granules or pediatric cold and fever granules. In the case of western medicine, it is often some antipyretic and analgesic, which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, such as ibuprofen suspension or acetaminophen granules.
