Causes of Patchy Baldness

The causes of pemphigus vulgaris are not well known, and may include genetic, immune, mental factors, and lesion infections.
1. Genetic factors. Pemphigus vulgaris may be related to genetic factors, some of the patients with pemphigus vulgaris have genetic predisposition, and the prevalence of identical twins is higher, and some patients with pemphigus vulgaris may be combined with other hereditary diseases, which proves that pemphigus vulgaris may be related to genetic factors.
2. Immune factors. Pemphigus vulgaris may be related to immune factors, some patients with pemphigus vulgaris may be accompanied by autoimmune diseases, such as goiter, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, vitiligo and so on.
3. Mental factors. Excessive stress or mental trauma may also lead to baldness.
4. Focal infection factors. Any other causes of localized hair follicle damage can also cause patchy baldness, such as folliculitis.
