Breast BI-RADS classification

Breast BI-RADS grading can be divided into grades 0-6, as follows: I. Grade 0: refers to incomplete assessment. II. Grade 1: refers to negative results, no abnormal lesions are found, which means normal breast. III. Grade 2: refers to benign lesions, malignancy can be basically ruled out, and regular review is sufficient. Grade 4 and 3: basically benign lesions, the general malignancy rate of the lesions is less than 2%, regular re-examination is recommended. V. Grade 4: Suspected malignant lesions, requiring clinical intervention by physicians, generally first consider biopsy, this grade can be further divided into three categories 4a, 4b and 4c. 4a requires biopsy, with a low possibility of malignancy, between 3%-10%. 4b tends to be malignant, with a possibility of malignancy of 10%-50%. 4c is further suspected to be malignant, with a possibility of malignancy between 50%-94%. Grade 6 and 5: malignant likelihood ≥95%, aggressive diagnosis and management should be taken. Grade 7 and 6: lesions that have been biopsied and confirmed to be malignant, but have not been treated.
