Can the new coronavirus be detected by blood?

Novel coronavirus can be detected by blood tests. The fifth edition of the Pneumonia Protocol for Novel Coronavirus Infection states that the diagnosis of novel coronavirus is confirmed by pharyngeal swabs and blood tests. Blood tests include performing RT-PCR or gene sequencing to confirm the diagnosis. Laboratory tests are included in the treatment guidelines. Laboratory tests include peripheral blood tests for lymphocytes and leukocytes, enzymology, troponin, CRP, sedimentation, and D-dimer. These are not confirmatory tests, but they all provide very good diagnostic evidence for the actual diagnosis. Of course, these are also hematological tests. The diagnosis is still confirmed by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction or gene sequencing. Stool or other secretions may also detect the virus, but are not currently included in the diagnostic protocol. Content source: Dr. Yurei
