Is it normal to have a level 1 placenta at 24 weeks pregnant

Placenta level 1 at 24 weeks of pregnancy is not normal.
Placenta grade 1 is defined as placenta maturity grade 1, which is mainly checked by ultrasound. Placental maturity is categorized into 4 grades i.e. grade 0, grade 1, grade 2 and grade 3.
Grade 0 is immature, grade 1 tends to be mature, grade 2 is mature and grade 3 is aged. Generally, the placenta is classified as grade 0 in the early to midterm pregnancy, grade 1 from 29 to 36 weeks of gestation, grade 2 after 36 weeks of gestation and grade 3 after 38 weeks of gestation. A grade 1 placenta at 24 weeks of gestation is not normal and suggests high placental maturity.
High maturity usually indicates fetal growth restriction or fetal distress, but not always pathologic, but also physiologic. In this case, it is necessary to combine with the ultrasound fetal growth and development indicators to make a comprehensive judgment.
