Initial treatment after diagnosis of nephrotic syndrome

1.After the diagnosis of tuberculosis infection and other serious infections are ruled out, adequate hormone therapy (commonly prednisone or prednisolone) should be given for at least 4 weeks. 2.Take calcium and vitamin D at the same time. 3.If there is co-infection, active anti-infection treatment is needed. 4.If hypercoagulability exists, anticoagulation therapy is needed to prevent thrombosis. 5.If electrolyte disorders exist, they need to be corrected. 6.Significant swelling and reduced urine output require appropriate control of water intake. 7.Low salt, low fat and low protein diet is recommended until the nephrotic syndrome is in remission, and normal diet can be gradually restored after remission. 8, If the child vomits and diarrhea is obvious, timely rehydration treatment is needed to avoid life-threatening hypovolemic shock.
