From a pharmacological point of view, the two drugs have certain hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic effects, but the pharmacological effects of Chinese medicines are generally not used as their main effects, and their clinical effects are limited, so they cannot play the same therapeutic effects as insulinotropic secretagogues, bimatoprost, and statins, and they can be used as adjunctive medications only.
