The herbal name of lotus seedling is lotus hut, which has the effect of resolving blood stasis and stopping bleeding. It is used as an adjunct to treat disintegration (excessive or spotty menstrual bleeding) bleeding, hemorrhoidal blood, and urinary blood, among other conditions.
Lianfang, with a bitter, astringent flavor and warm nature, enters the liver meridian and can treat postpartum stasis and abdominal pain, excessive menstruation, and unresolved menstrual discharge. Pregnant women should use it with caution.
Lianfang can be used either raw or stir-fried with charcoal, the power of activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis is stronger when it is used raw, and the power of astringency and stopping bleeding is stronger when it is stir-fried with charcoal.
