During pregnancy, it is important to have regular maternity checkups and dynamic monitoring of amniotic fluid and fetal movement. 11 cm amniotic fluid index is a normal condition. The method of monitoring the amount of amniotic fluid during pregnancy is determined mainly by ultrasound examination, through two indicators: the amniotic fluid index and the vertical depth of the maximum dark area of amniotic fluid. The amniotic fluid index is an important indicator of the healthy development of the fetus in the uterus. The normal value of the amniotic fluid index is ≥5cm and ≤25cm. Therefore, a check of 11cm amniotic fluid index is a normal condition and regular maternity checkups are sufficient. Amniotic fluid abnormalities can indicate both potential maternal and fetal abnormalities, and can also directly endanger the safety of the perinatal baby. 25-35cm is mild amniotic fluid, 36-45cm is moderate amniotic fluid, >45cm is severe amniotic fluid, and ≤5cm is too little amniotic fluid during pregnancy. Excessive amniotic fluid may be associated with fetal structural abnormalities, pregnancy complications and complications; low amniotic fluid is mainly associated with decreased amniotic fluid production or increased amniotic fluid leakage.
