Where does a heart stent enter

Clinically, cardiac stenting is an interventional procedure in which the first choice is to establish vascular access during placement. The vessel of choice is usually the radial artery in the wrist or the femoral artery in the thigh. After local sterilization and anesthesia, the vessel is punctured and a guidewire is inserted thereafter. A sheath is placed along the guidewire to create a channel in the vessel, and the catheter is followed to the heart. A balloon containing a metal stent is then delivered to the lesion, which is inflated and the stent is opened to complete the placement.
