What about jaundice in adults?

Jaundice in adults, also known as adult jaundice, is mostly treated according to the type of jaundice and then given specific symptomatic treatment. Clinically, there are three types of jaundice: first, prehepatic jaundice, most of which is the result of hemolytic anemia and requires symptomatic treatment with hormones and other drugs. Second, hepatocellular jaundice, most of the cells are damaged, often due to alcohol consumption or viral infections, need to actively reduce the yellow, liver and other drugs for symptomatic treatment. Third, post-hepatic jaundice, this is common in the case of choledocholithiasis, gallbladder stones or pancreatic occupation, need to give bile duct lithotripsy. If there is occupation, surgical treatment or metal stent implantation of bile duct is needed. Generally speaking, when jaundice occurs, it is better to treat it with surgery after actively giving hepatoprotective and symptomatic treatment. Therefore, depending on the type of jaundice, each case should be analyzed on a case-by-case basis.
