What does abcd2 score mean?

The ABCD2 score is used to assess the patient’s risk of stroke, including whether the patient is older than 60 years, whether the patient has high blood pressure, whether the patient has unilateral limb weakness lasting more than 60 minutes, and whether the patient has a history of diabetes mellitus. It also includes whether the patient has a history of diabetes and whether the patient’s symptoms are accompanied by speech impairment. If the patient has a high score and is considered to be in the high-risk group, the patient is at a higher risk for stroke and is advised to be treated with relevant medication to prevent future strokes. Patients are also advised to control related risk factors, such as hyperglycemia, hypertension and other related symptoms.
