A lump on the body is not necessarily cancer. The so-called lumps are also clinically referred to as tumors, for which there is a difference between benign and malignant tumors. The difference between benign tumor and malignant tumor is mainly manifested in the following 3 aspects: 1. benign tumor usually has clearer boundary, while malignant tumor usually has unclear boundary. 2. benign tumor usually has soft and tough texture, while malignant tumor, also known as cancer, has hard texture. 3. benign tumor has better mobility, while malignant tumor is usually more fixed. However, this is only a simple clinical judgment method. Whether a lump on the body is a malignant tumor or cancer, the gold standard is based on pathological examination for the presence or absence of cancer cells. Therefore, a lump on the body is not necessarily a cancer diagnosis, but must be removed and sent for pathological examination to determine whether there are cancer cells or not.
