How to deal with lung nodule 7mm ground glass

For the management of 7mm ground glass-like lung nodules, regular CT follow-up observation is generally used, and surgical resection is performed if malignancy is highly suspected. Ground-glass nodules are a type of lung nodule morphology, and ground-glass nodules have the potential for precancerous and malignant lesions. 7-mm nodules require measures to monitor them to determine the benign or malignant nature. Nodules with a diameter greater than 5mm and less than 8mm need to be reviewed annually with CT for at least 3 years. The frequency of CT review generally also needs to be adjusted to every 3 months to 6 months according to the patient’s personal wishes, with a follow-up of at least 3 years. If malignant nodules are highly suspected in combination with other clinical data or during follow-up, surgical resection is required.
