Why brain attacks are less likely to recur after 5 years

There is no such thing as “cerebral infarction is not easy to recur after 5 years”, the number of patients who have recurrence of cerebral infarction within 5 years is relatively high, but there is still a possibility of recurrence after 5 years, therefore, it is still necessary to pay attention to various aspects of life and diet after 5 years.
Cerebral infarction often occurs in patients suffering from hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, atherosclerosis and other diseases. After the occurrence of cerebral infarction, if these patients still do not pay attention to the control of blood pressure, blood sugar and blood lipids, it can lead to further vascular lesions, and then cerebral infarction may occur again.
Many patients will have another cerebral infarction within 2~3 months after the first cerebral infarction; secondly, within 5 years after the first cerebral infarction, many patients will have another cerebral infarction; and after 5 years, it is still not guaranteed that there will be no recurrence of cerebral infarction. Since cerebral infarction is extremely easy to recur, it is important to do secondary prevention after the first cerebral infarction.
Secondary prevention requires attention to the use of antihypertensive drugs to control blood pressure, the use of aspirin, clopidogrel and other drugs to fight against platelet aggregation, and the use of simvastatin and other drugs to regulate lipids, and dietary attention should be paid to avoiding oily and spicy diet.
If diagnosed with cerebral infarction, please follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
