Anemia is a condition in which the number of red blood cells in the peripheral blood is lower than normal, causing the patient to experience a range of symptoms. When anemia occurs, the central nervous system receives less oxygen and some patients experience headaches that are persistent, but not usually very intense. If a patient has a headache, the most effective way is to give blood transfusion therapy. By transfusing red blood cells, the patient’s hemoglobin concentration is increased, the ability to carry oxygen is enhanced, the brain gets timely blood supply and oxygen supply, and the headache symptoms can be relieved. At the same time, oral anti-inflammatory painkillers such as ibuprofen and fen-phen can be taken intermittently. In addition, blood transfusion therapy is only a symptomatic treatment. To completely solve the problem of anemia headache, it is necessary to find out the cause and give etiological treatment. For example, patients with iron deficiency anemia can be given iron supplementation, and patients with macrocytic anemia can be treated with folic acid and vitamin B12 supplementation.
