What’s with the obvious bruises on the eyelids?

The patient’s eyelid bruises may be caused by the thin subcutaneous tissue of the eyelid, which leads to the exposure of the veins, or it may be caused by a hemangioma.
Eyelid tissue is rich in veins and blood vessels. Under normal circumstances, as the subcutaneous tissue of the eyelid is rich in fat, it will cover the blood vessels and the blood vessels will not be obvious. However, if the patient’s subcutaneous fat content is low due to emaciation, the eyelid tissue is thin, making the veins and blood vessels visible, thus causing the patient’s eyelids to appear “bruised”.
In some patients, the presence of hemangiomas in the subcutaneous tissues of the eyelids may cause the eyelids to dilate with blood vessels, which may also result in the appearance of visible veins on the eyelids.
It is recommended that patients with eyelid veins that are visible and accompanied by other discomforts consult a physician for evaluation of their condition and treatment under the direction of a physician.
