MRI spleen T1 low, T2 high signal usually means that it contains watery material, that is, the patient may have cystic-like changes in the spleen area. The T1 and T2 values of the tissues are the basic factors of magnetic resonance imaging, and the signals obtained during magnetic resonance examination contain both T1 and T2 signals. Generally, if the examination reveals low T1 and high T2 signals, it means that watery substances are contained inside. Normally, normal tissues such as cerebrospinal fluid can show a low T1 signal and a high T2 signal, but the spleen is a solid organ, so if it shows a low T1 signal and a high T2 signal, it means that it may contain cystic lesions. It may be caused by cysts and other diseases. When T1 low signal and T2 high signal are found in the spleen by nuclear magnetic examination, the patient should consult the attending physician in time to clarify the possible lesions, and further examination can be done if necessary.
