The clinical staging of AIDS is divided into three periods: acute infection, asymptomatic period, and AIDS period. The clinical manifestations are as follows: 1. Acute infection period: generally appearing 1~1 week after the first HIV infection, common symptoms include fever, general malaise, enlarged lymph nodes, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, skin rash and so on. Symptoms are usually mild and will subside within a month. 2. Asymptomatic stage: this stage can be entered from the acute stage, or directly entered into this stage without going through the acute stage. There are no obvious symptoms, but a few patients may have enlarged lymph nodes. 3. AIDS stage: the final stage of AIDS infection, usually with persistent fever, diarrhea, and weight loss of more than 10%. In this stage, due to the serious damage to the patient’s immune system, a variety of opportunistic infections and malignant tumors can be combined, thus showing the symptoms of the corresponding diseases. AIDS patients should seek timely medical treatment and follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment, which can improve the quality of life, reduce complications and prolong the survival period.
