Interstitial pneumonia with emphysema is more serious, and the combination of two respiratory diseases at the same time will lead to decreased lung function.
1. Interstitial pneumonia: it usually refers to lung diseases with predominantly interstitial lesions, such as diffuse parenchymal lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, etc. Clinical symptoms can be manifested as coughing, dyspnea, etc., and respiratory failure can occur in severe cases;
2. Emphysema: it mainly refers to respiratory diseases caused by reduced elasticity of distal bronchial tubes, manifested as chest tightness, shortness of breath, dyspnea after exertion, etc. It may lead to COPD in later stages, and respiratory failure in late stages.
When the patient combines the two diseases of interstitial pneumonia and emphysema, the lung function may be significantly reduced, and in severe cases, respiratory failure or even death may occur, so the condition is more serious.
It is recommended that patients go to the hospital as soon as possible for a detailed examination to clarify the condition and then follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment.
