What’s with the hysterectomy and the bloating?

Hysterectomy gastric distension has more causes, and it is considered to be related to gastrointestinal function not recovered, intraoperative air entry, intestinal adhesion and so on.
1. Gastrointestinal function has not recovered: Hysterectomy bloating may be due to intraoperative stimulation, fasting and water restriction, causing gastrointestinal peristalsis to slow down, coupled with postoperative rest and reduced activity, which may result in bloating and other conditions.
2. Intraoperative air entry: If the hysterectomy is done through open surgery, the gastrointestinal tract may be directly exposed to the air, and the entry of gases may cause gastric distension and other reactions, or through laparoscopy, carbon dioxide is usually injected into the abdominal cavity, which may cause gastric distension and other reactions.
3. Intestinal adhesions: Hysterectomy bloating may also be caused by intestinal adhesions, usually due to the presence of pelvic inflammatory disease after surgery, manifested as bloating.
Hysterectomy bloating may also have other causes, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner, improve the relevant examination, under the guidance of the doctor to clarify the cause of the disease, and actively targeted treatment, to avoid delaying the condition, resulting in other damage.
