Crystal implantation surgery for myopia is what is usually referred to as intraocular refractive surgery. Currently, there are two general types of this type of surgery: the first is called IOL implantation in crystalline eyes; the second is lens replacement. The cost of this type of surgery is around$20,000-30,000, mainly because the IOL implanted during the surgery is more expensive, so the overall cost will be higher. The principle of IOL implantation in crystalline eyes is to re-implant an artificial lens on the surface of the normal lens, through which the refractive state of the eye can be changed, thus correcting myopia. Lens replacement surgery, for patients with high myopia combined with cataract and opacity of refractive media, removes the lens and replaces it with an IOL, through which myopia can also be corrected.
