Epilepsy: It is a chronic disease in which sudden abnormal discharges of neurons in the brain cause transient brain dysfunction. It is commonly known as “goat horn madness” and “sheep epilepsy”. The main manifestations are: sudden loss of consciousness, falling to the ground, twitching of the limbs, foaming at the mouth, immobility of the eyes, incontinence or involuntary movement of the limbs (without knowing it) or suddenly stopping what they are doing, dazed, etc. Some of them may be caused by something stimulating, while others have seizures naturally without any stimulation. Etiology: It may be caused by genetic factors, brain diseases, systemic or systemic diseases, etc. Being a chronic disease, although it does not affect the patient much in the short term, frequent seizures in the long term can lead to serious physical, mental and intellectual effects. EEG is the most important tool to diagnose seizures and epilepsy.
