The use of levofloxacin may cause adverse reactions such as disability, tendinopathy and tendon rupture, prolongation of the QT period, anaphylactic reactions, central and peripheral neuropathy, Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea, dysglycemia, photosensitivity or phototoxicity, worsening of myasthenia gravis, hepatotoxicity, development of resistant bacteria, aortic aneurysm and aortic coarctation.
