How long does it take to scab over after cryotherapy?

After cryotherapy, the first week, there will be edema. In the second week, the blisters can subside and begin to crust over. If the skin is fast in its ability to repair and grow, the crusts usually fall off in about two weeks. However, there are many special areas where crusting may be slower, such as the soles of the feet, joints of the limbs, toes, around the toenails, and scalp, where the cuticle is thicker and the subcutaneous fat layer is thinner, the crusting may be slower. Because the edema is slow to subside, the crusting will be slower. Most patients will have scabs in two weeks, and most of the rashes basically scab off in about two weeks.
