Bleeding inside the eye depends on the location of the bleeding. If it is a subconjunctival hemorrhage, that is, a hemorrhage in the white part of the eye, this is usually not a big problem. Cold compresses can be applied at an early stage, followed by hot compresses after 48 hours, and the subconjunctival hemorrhage will slowly absorb on its own in about 7-12 days. If it is intraocular hemorrhage, such as vitreous hemorrhage, retinal hemorrhage, this situation is more serious, need to go to the hospital as soon as possible to complete the whole body and eye examination to clarify the cause of bleeding. The cause of the bleeding should be identified and treated as soon as possible. If the amount of hemorrhage is large and accumulates in the vitreous cavity and cannot be absorbed in the long term, vitrectomy should be performed as soon as possible to avoid more serious complications.
