Signs of death from pulmonary fibrosis

Death from pulmonary fibrosis does not always have clear signs, but symptoms of acute respiratory distress, such as accelerated respiration, labored respiration, marked hypoxemia, cyanosis of the lips and mouth, etc., combined with unstable vital signs (low blood pressure, extremely fast or slow pulse, increased respiratory rate, low finger oxygen saturation), arterial blood gas analysis showing severe hypoxemia, impaired consciousness and so on, can be seen in the late stage. 1. Pulmonary fibrosis leads to fibrotic changes in the normal lung tissue structure, alveolar fibrosis leads to the loss of its function, oxygen can not enter the blood circulation, manifested by hypoxia, respiratory effort, acidosis, severe respiratory failure, etc., when the lack of oxygen is severe hypoxic coma may occur, which is life-threatening. 2. Pulmonary fibrosis should be detected and treated early to avoid progression to end-stage status. Although pulmonary fibrosis is difficult to treat and is currently considered irreversible, active treatment can slow down the progression of fibrosis and prolong survival time. If symptoms of dyspnea and discomfort occur, it is recommended to go to the local regular hospital to receive professional medical treatment as soon as possible.
