1.After the plaster bandage is fixed, the affected limb should be elevated to prevent swelling due to poor blood return to the local tissue. 2. The blood circulation, sensation and movement of the distal end of the affected limb should be closely observed. If there is severe pain, numbness, low skin temperature of the extremity or dark color of the fingers/toes, etc., it indicates that the plaster winding is too tight and has produced serious compression symptoms, which should be promptly reviewed and the plaster needs to be loosened or removed by dissecting the whole layer longitudinally. 3.After the swelling of the affected limb fixed by plaster bandage disappears, if the plaster is too loose, the plaster should be replaced in time to ensure effective orthopedic and fixation effect. 4.When the ambient temperature is too low, the warmth of the plaster bandage fixed part should be strengthened to prevent swelling of the distal part of the affected limb due to cold.
