Arm fracture dressing method

Arm fractures, i.e. upper limb fractures, generally include two aspects: long bone fractures, mostly humerus fractures, and ulnar radius fractures of the forearm. The fixation method of humerus fracture is usually splint fixation, prepare two splints, put them in front of and behind the upper arm, and fix them with triangular towel or bandage, after fixation, the elbow joint should be flexed at 90°, the shoulder joint should not move, and hang the forearm in front of the chest. In the trunk fixation method, the upper arm is placed close to the side of the limb, and a bandage or triangular scarf is used to bind the upper arm to the trunk and fix it, while also flexing the elbow 90 degrees and fixing it with a forearm sling, which is the fixation method for upper arm humerus fractures. In case of ulnar radius fracture, if there is a splint, fix the palmar side and dorsal side with a splint, fix it with a tricot or a bandage, bend the elbow 90 degrees, and lift it with a forearm sling. If there is no splint, the lower corner of the garment is rolled up and tied with the corner of the garment to form a sling fixation with the forearm close to the chest.
