Poria has the efficacy of strengthening the spleen, inducing diuresis and seepage of dampness (promoting the flow of water to dispel dampness), and tranquilizing the heart; Chen Pi has the efficacy of drying dampness and resolving phlegm (dispelling dampness by drying dampness and dissolving phlegm), regulating qi and strengthening the spleen; and stir-fried lentils have the efficacy of harmonizing the middle of the body to eliminate summer heat and strengthening the spleen to resolve dampness.
1. Poria: with the effects of strengthening the spleen, inducing diuresis and seepage of dampness, and tranquilizing the heart, it can be used in the treatment of spleen qi deficiency, oedema, heartburn and insomnia.
2. Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae: with the effects of drying dampness and resolving phlegm, regulating qi and strengthening the spleen, it can be used for treating phlegm-dampness syndrome, as well as the symptoms of mental fatigue (mental exhaustion, physical weakness) and gastrointestinal discomforts caused by deficiency of the spleen and qi stagnation.
3. Fried lentils: with the effect of neutralizing summer heat, strengthening the spleen and resolving dampness, it can be used to treat vomiting and diarrhea caused by summer dampness, chest tightness and abdominal distension, and can also be used to treat fatigue caused by dampness in the spleen, dullness (no appetite, reduced food intake), loose stools (loose stools are sparse and not shaped), and so on.
The adverse effects of Poria, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae and Lentinus Edodes have not been clarified and are contraindicated for those who are allergic to them. The specific application of Chinese medicine should be directed by a physician.
