Stage 1 dust does not cause pulmonary fibrosis, but as the disease continues to progress it can develop into pulmonary fibrosis. Pneumoconiosis is caused by long-term inhalation of harmful dust, which accumulates in the lungs and is difficult to remove. At present, there are no effective drugs and means to treat the disease, and it cannot be cured completely. Symptoms can only be controlled through therapeutic measures. Phase I pneumoconiosis belongs to early pneumoconiosis. Early pneumoconiosis is treated by getting rid of the polluted working environment containing dust and the treatment includes: 1. Symptomatic treatment: For those who show dyspnea and hypoxemia, oxygen therapy such as nasal cannula oxygen inhalation is recommended. 2. Complications treatment: prevent complications such as respiratory infections, pneumothorax, tuberculosis, COPD, respiratory failure and pulmonary heart disease. 3. Rehabilitation therapy: multidisciplinary comprehensive intervention including ventilator training, psychological intervention, and rational nutrition. 4. Anti-fibrosis: use of hantahexidine, and lung transplantation in special cases. If Stage I pneumoconiosis has been diagnosed, patients are advised to go to the hospital for regular review and actively monitor the development of the disease to keep it within safe possibilities, and not to stop the treatment to avoid the development of the disease.
